If you dream of a fun, quirky, flower filled but nontraditional wedding on an awesome farm, then this wedding is a must see!
When Nicki and Dave first got in touch with us about their nontraditional Wellbeing Farm wedding in Edgworth, we were so excited – they were planning the most fun barn wedding with a live band, lawn games and a bouncy castle. Nicki and Dave are the loveliest people and we couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
We began the morning at Barons Farm, where the bride Nicki was getting ready, there was a really excited atmosphere, because all the girls were there, getting ready together. Nicki’s Maid of Honor Lisa, is a talented hair stylist and made sure her hair was perfect for the gorgeous flower crown she wore, her colleague Lindsey from The Retreat in Darwen, made the bridesmaids hair look gorgeous because each girl had their own hair up design, which incorporated braids to complement the beautiful beaded gowns.
The wedding took place in the barn at Wellbeing Farm, and was a beautiful intimate and nontraditional ceremony. They had a fun reading, which everyone enjoyed. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together and were showered with colourful confetti, and then the celebrations began.
It was a sunny but stormy day, which most importantly didn’t dampen the mood or atmosphere. While the guests enjoyed gin and tonics, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. For the meal they served roast lamb and chicken family style, and it was absolutely delicious. After dinner there were a few speeches, then the party got started when the Beat Pilots arrived and everyone hit the dance floor. They also had a cheese cake and dessert table, which included cake, eton mess, scones and a chocolate fondue.
Here’s their unique, quirky, nontraditional Wellbeing Farm wedding!
